Classes start on the first week of every month. Please try to get to class a few minutes early to register and mingle.
Sunday Classes: Although classes are free, there is a $3 cover charge at Wild West.

All D'Amico Dance group classes are $12 per class when you register for the month. We do offer a single class drop-in rate of $15 per class.

Receive a "Piggyback" reward of $12 for each additional monthly class taken, to be applied toward any classes in the month of June.
As a courtesy to our students, we allow you to apply credits for missed classes to the following month. Any credits not used within the next calendar month will be lost.

Monday Night Two Step at the Melody Club (through April)

The Beginner class has a two part syllabus; Beginner 1 in the odd numbered months and Beginner 2 in the even. To really understand the dance and execute the Beginner syllabus with style you should repeat both parts at least three times. At least 70% of advanced dancers still take the Beginner class every month.
The Intermediate class starts over every month with something new and exciting. This is an upper level Intermediate-to-Advanced class and requires a really good understanding of the Beginner syllabus.

This class is for anyone just getting started or wanting to really understand the basics before moving on to the Intermediate 1 class at 8:00.
Intermediate 1 8pm
After completing Beginner 1 and Beginner 2 at least three times through, this is the next class for you. This is where you'll be introduced to the concepts you need to survive our Intermediate 2 class on Thursday nights and beyond.

The Beginner class is a two part syllabus with Beginner 1 starting on the odd numbered months and Beginner 2 on the even. In Beginner 1 of the syllabus we cover the Starter Step and the basic Six Count Patterns. In Beginner 2 we cover the basic Eight Count Patterns (Whips). There isn't a West Coaster out there who wouldn't benefit from this class.
The Intermediate 2 class is where we put movement to music. As we offer an Intermediate 1 class on Tuesday nights, we can cater to the more experienced Intermediate-to-Advanced dancers in this Intermediate 2 class. This class will be a step up from Intermediate 1 which you should repeat several times before attempting this class.
FREE Sunday Night Country Lessons at Wild West

Join Randy and Melissa at Wild West every Sunday from 4:30 to 6:00 for FREE dance lessons. Randy and Melissa are great people and great teachers. Each week they teach the basics of a couple of the Country dances. This is a great place to get started and figure out which dances you like the best. There is a large group of good dancers there every week and there is a free Fajita buffet around 7:30.
**Caveat--although the lessons and buffet are free of charge, there is a $3 cover charge payable at the door at Wild West.
1st week - Polka and West Coast Swing
2nd week - Two-Step and East Coast Swing
3rd week - Polka and Waltz
4th week - Two-Step and either Nightclub or Cha Cha

Country Western:
Country Combo 1
Two-Step and Polka: Two Step and Polka are the two most popular Country dances and types of songs played at any country bar in America. Both dances include intricate patterns and spins for the ladies which makes the dance fun to do and watch.
Beginner: Wednesdays, 7pm
Intermediate: Wednesdays, 8pm
Country Combo 2
Nightclub and Cha Cha: Nightclub is danced to ballads of any genre, specifically slower tempos which give it a smooth, romantic aspect. Cha Cha is the most popular of the Ballroom Latin dances, and is a sexy, flirty dance.

Country Combo 3
East Coast Swing/Jitterbug and Triple Two: East Coast Swing and Jitterbug are direct descendants of the Lindy Hop and are extremely popular across America and abroad. Triple Two is also known as the Shuffle and other various names across the country and resembles Polka but is danced with smooth styling that includes a walk-walk.

Advanced Country Western
Two-Step: Not for the faint of heart, this class is for the serious Two-Step enthusiast. In this class you will learn movements and patterns that you would see on the competition floor.

Social Waltz: This class is for those of you who are very comfortable moving around the floor in this beautiful and powerful dance. It is designed to give you new material and teach you how to put sequences together.

Waltz Technique:To waltz correctly requires technical instruction. This class will give you the knowledge and skills you need to make your Waltz look like the pros.

West Coast Swing
Houston has one of the largest West Coast Swing communities in the United States. Learn this versatile and popular dance fast from our top instructors. It's a sexy, groovy, slotted swing dance done to R&B, Blues, Hip Hop, Country, and other genres.
Beginner 1
This entry-level class starts you dancing right away with the most common 6 count patterns done in the dance. By the end of your first class you will be dancing 2 to 3 patterns to the music. We cover a lot of material in this class and we recommend taking it until you're completely ready to move on. Ask your instructor for an evaluation before moving up.

This class picks up where Beginner 1 left off, focusing on the most common 8 count patterns with a few new 6 count patterns mixed in. Concepts and Styling: After you've mastered your basic 6 count and 8 count patterns, this class will give you a better understanding of the dance and build your repertoire.

Linking Patterns: Here's where you start to unleash your potential. We teach you how to link your patterns to the music using an easy to understand approach.

Hit the Music: This class teaches how to listen to the song and pull out emphasized lyrics or instruments with patterns, movements and stops.

Abstract Swing and Musicology: Now it's time to step out of the box. This class is about letting the music guide your movement and giving you the skills to do it. This class is not about patterns - it's about altering patterns based on what the music is doing at the time.
